While it's true I try to avoid taking home weekend projects, sometimes I do work, but it's fun. I promise!
I love reading to the kids, and they love hearing stories, so sometimes on Saturdays I like to browse in children's bookstores, at the library or online to keep up with the latest trends. I do like sharing my old favourites, but I also think it's important to know what's current.
When I am sharing old favourites, I like to read the story at home and kind of practice how I'll tell it. Maybe I'll use voices or props, and sometimes I change the language to make it more appropriate.
It truly is a joy to share my love of books with my students.
